Leafcutter Bee - going about its business

I seem to have a lot of these in my garden. I got a bee hotel a couple of years ago. Last year I had 2 laying eggs in it, this year (so far) I seem to have 6 nest (not including the one I had in my plant pot).

In this first photo it is holding a piece of leaf, in the second it is taking it into the 'hotel'. It's a bit fuzzy but it wasn't happy about me hanging about when it did decide to go it it was quick... I was also in such a position that I couldn't actually check where I was pointing the camera or when the bee was in sight!! You can just see some already leaf-capped tubes in the corner.

Nice photos Louise, must get one of those for the garden here, probably have to wait for next year now though.
