The tale of the long of the long tailed tit

This little chap was walking across the road. At first I thought it was wagtail and got my camera out quickly. On getting closer I realized it was indeed a Long-tailed tit.
I had to wonder why a Long-tailed tit was walking across a road. I then noticed it was limping. As I got closer it made no move to get away so put my hand down palm up to let it hop onto my hand to find what was wrong and if necessary call the RSPCA. It couldn’t hop. I lifted it with my fingers to scoop it into my palm and that was just enough to give the little bird the lift it needed. Using the momentum he took off and it flew perfectly into a bush right across the road. On seeing him fly so perfectly I knew his wings were alright and had obviously hurt his leg or foot. I left it at that and thought he’s safe now and can let his sore leg or foot heal.

Poor little thing - and the last shot has him looking so sorry for himself.

Yes. He was so sweet and the flock was in the garden this morning.
That last shot was when I stopped and realized his pligt. He was much more alert when I reached him . I was so glad to see him flying so well though.

Do you think he might have been hit by a car - ever so softly, yet to his detriment?

Lol. If he had been hit by a car he'd be history I would think.
He may have landed on a very cold twig or some thing as in the freezing weather twigs on bushes are so much harder and prickly than normal and he may not have realized and like I said his flight was perfect. Nothing wrong with his wings. I have never known them to fight.
No. I'm certain in my mind that he is fine now
