Painted Ladies everywhere at Flamborough and Bempton

I have never seen so many, everywhere you looked was a Painted lady, sometimes six or more on a single plant.

Fantastic sight. That's what I've been hoping for - they did say that there would be billions. I've only seen one at a time, though. I'm hoping for a couple of days nice weather to bring them out all together.

...mind you, you've a patch of thistles and that is their preference. That's why I went by the river after work the other day, in the hope that there might be some there.. none at all as far I could see
