The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

Default Well am I greedy or what

Normally takes at least three mealworm each visit, but the Great Tit always takes just one each visit..................good job....I couldn't afford it if he took three as well

Great shot Babs, I've noticed that they appear to kill them first as well, as my Robins put them down and nip them a few times.

Thanks rolf, yes I have noticed the Robin gets some in his mouth and bangs the top of the dish with them and usually flys off, sometimes he will eat one or two himself. I have noticed the Great Tit though takes one to a branch eats half himself and then feeds the other half to the juvenile

    Great capture Babs.Well done
A few birds tend to kill or stun their pry.

The king fisher wallops a big fish on the branch he sits on to stun it before swallowing it
