Mallards

To day was a very dull and not nice day so I went to the park to see what the ducks were up to. I think one had a motor as it was going like the clappers and another was comingin to labnd very gracefully

Couple of great catches there Chocky, perhaps the duck in the first photo just didn't fancy the drake.

They can move

Some times the duckling shift accross the brok at lighning speed. They are fun to watch

Thank you . I have seen tiny ducklings shif accross the brook at some high speeds.
I went there today and the brook was full of excavators clearing out the rubbish , so I pointed out two Leucistic ducks that vcan't fly and explained what leucistic meant and they said they would keep an eye on thm . That pleased me.
I took a nice shot of a duck flying today see if I can upload it. I think there is a poem about a Mallard int the pioetry thread it's quite amusin.

You don't need to buy an expensive one . today you can take a very good photo with quite an inexpensive one. I just spend a great deal of time out along the nature walks and on the estuary and spend most of my time taking wildlife photos so thought I would buy a DSLR.
