This will be easy for you - but I've got no idea what these birds are so help please !
They look like "Bald Turkeys" to me
No idea what that is deedee, but it doesn't look like any bird native to the British Isles, when and where did you take the photo?
I was Thinking that . I think they may not be indigenous to UK . Nice captures though
They look like Quails of some sort.
I think it might be a Grey Partridge.
No, regardless of the body colour and shape, none of the British species (as far as I know) have the facial ornamentation.
Oh yes. They do have a rather turkyish look about them
I'll have a quick look through the Life of Birds book.
they are guinea fowl, and definetly not indigenous to britain. they will have escaped from someones private collection, most probably.
LOL, so that's what they look like in real life, unfortunately have only seen them in restaurants, in a somewhat different state, known as Pintarde in France.
I wondered that
I have guinea Fowl in my encyclopedia but not with those faces.
Oh good now we know.
Thanks everybody
Forgot to say, photographed on road from Hambleden to Frieth in Buckinghamshire
