Nuthatch - Sitta europaea

It's the closest I could get I'm afraid so the quality is poor, but this is a Nuthatch outside the nest.

I watched a bird flitting through the trees and amazingly managed to follow it. It stopped here.. I had a big grin on my face when I realised both that it was a Nuthatch (which I don't see often), and the nest :-) The only problem is that it needs a big lens to get it properly.

Nice spot Louise, as you know we're lucky enough to have a couple visit our feeder, but nothing like seeing them in their own environment.
