The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

Default While it was pouring down

While it was pouring down this afternoon I looked out of the patio doors to see a Wood Pigeon sat in my plastic bird bath and another was on the table next to it having a shower it was lay on the table with one wing in the air and then the other . The photo isn't brilliant because it was pouring down and taken through glass, but it was lovely to see. The one in the bird bath was there for about five minutes.

Thanks Robert and Chocky, it looked quite funny seeing this big bird sat in the bird bath, if I had been sat in my hide I would have been much nearer and got a clearer shot but my camera wold have got rather wet
