Teal - Anas crecca at Lavell's Lake, Winnersh

Popped down to Lavell's Lake for an hour late this afternoon, was a little gloomy, but managed a couple of shots, these two Teal were searching the mud for food.

I really like the depth in this photo - also the bright blue-green and emerald feathers of that pair.

(We used to get large numbers of Teal in Ayr in winter - at the mouth of the River Doon near us, but haven't seen any down here - yet!)
