    They are a little more shy than their pied cousins, so you've done well to get a good picture.

    I suppose the bonus is that as it's by the weir it's hard to make enough noise to scare them off

    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.
