    Default Ladybird - possibly Harlequin

    I was very remiss in noting the size of this thing. I think it was quite big, so it could well be a Harlequin.... or it might not.

    I did check out the ID pages first, but I didn't find it clear enough for me. The reason I wasn't sure was that other than size, I thought that some of the key indicators were a quite domed top and quite round shape, but I didn't think that this was either too domed or too round in shape - here's a different angle. I believe that the white marking on the face can help ID, but I don't know how.

    Louise, if you attach your pics to a Harlequin report form, and ask them if it is one, they will get back to you.

    I've done that for the last two years, and got positive IDs each time from them. Sadly, the guy who started, then ran, the survey died earlier this year. However, the studies and survey seem to be continuing.

    Please let us know what you find out!
