Was really lethargic and wouldn't move, despite me coming very close. Looks like it's back again, not seen a Greenfinch at the feeders for a long time.
Have emptied the water baths and cleaned up the food on the ground, not looking good.
Oh, dear. He does look very sick.

Re. Greenfinches, we've had relatively few birds of any kind in the garden since spring, but the handful of finches - Golds, Greens and Chaffs - have all looked well enough. I'm hoping they're still out there on their prolonged summer holidays and will return soon!.gif "Smile")
All of our Greenfinches disappeared a couple of years back, with only the occasional one making a fleeting visit, very few Chaffinches as well.
It's been a year or two since we've had either greenfinch or bullfinches with us. Plenty of apple trees for the Bulls to nibble on too. A real shame as both are fantastic birds and from a selfish point of view they really brighten up the garden. Plenty of tits and a couple of woodpeckers (absolutely no euphamism intended) knocking about in the spring and summer though.
Great detailing on the photo. Sad to see the woody in that state though, poor blighter.
Unfortunately it isn't the only one I've seen with the disease, half a dozen sightings in the last couple of months.
