    Isn't it a shame that successive governments have rejected plans to enhance this site and the surrounding road network, plus provide a proper visitor centre and facilities.

    Yes. There is actually a visitors center and a shop with T shirts and such and souvenirs and cafe that was in 85 and you get a little sort of listening device which tells you all about the henge .Very expensive though. I quie enjoyed it

    Hardly a standard for a national monument though, let alone something of International interest.

    I agree. Very disappointing
    I have only been there the once. On the way home from Mark's for a real visit
    Other time I went when driving up to Wilton Army barracks. Dropped my officers off and drove out to the rocks . very long eary drive and the landscape doesn't move it is so vast and my hair would stand up ,very eary. All the roads have changed now and new roads built
