    Cool New from Thatcham

    Hello to everyone

I've been looking around the different forums for a couple of weeks now and I've been a member for a few days but not introduced myself until now. I wanted to get a feel for things and see what you all get up to really before diving in.

My interest is in photographing birds, mainly in flight where possible, but as with the photography, I'm fairly new to bird watching and spotting. I've used the local Discovery Centre here in Thatcham so far and I've obtained one or two good shots but things seem a bit inconsistent at the moment. I'm looking to go a bit further afield now that I've found a forum that shows me where the good sites for spotting are and I'm hoping that the more experienced of you might take me under your wing and help me improve everything to do with this fascinating hobby.

Thanks for looking at this saga and I'm hoping to get to know many of you better later.

    Eddy

Welcome Eddy, you've picked a great hobby, combining photography with an interest in birds, gives you lots of scope. This time of year many of us go macro and take photos of the smaller creatures, lots of them around in the warm weather.

Hello, and welcome. I haven't had much luck with birds in flight ( I have a long saga with trying to catch the Red Kites over my house.. with not as much success as I'd like ), so I look forward to seeing your stuff.
