    Default Great Tit - Parus major

    I wasn't going to post it since the speed of the bird and darkness of the glade means the quality is (again!) rather bad, but I decided to show it because of its activity - feeding on the nettles. They do seem to house a lot of insects.

    The nettles may be large (c.4ft) and fairly sturdy.. but there was still a lot of swaying :-)
    As you will have noticed, I blurred a lot of the photo to enable the bird to stand out some more in what is a very busy shot.

    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    The swaying sort of gave him away, Babs... my eyes aren't normally that good
