Thanks, Catherine, yes I was thinking that - it was very obliging of it to land on the blossom when most other sightings I've seen of butterflies have been on grass or rock
The definition is superb and the composition is perfect!
[BTW, What is the criteria for putting a pic in the Gallery? Does Rolf invite the poster to add it, or do folks just add what they want themselves? I've tried to find out, but I can't!]
No hard and fast rules Catherine.
The main sections are for quality shots, which must be suitable for quick identification, so need to be full body, taking up a fair percentage of the frame. If the photo is of a difficult to photograph species, or perhaps rare, then the quality and composition criteria can be less rigorous.
The Scrap Book section is for any other photos which people want to put in the gallery for linking to etc.
