    The Amalenchier is coming into blossom, so makes a nice frame for the pretty blackcap.

    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    I have only ever seen one blackcap, that was last summer when it saw it sitting on a branch with the house sparrows. I managed to get a couple of shots of it and then it vanished.....forever Lovely shot btw is that the female by any chance
