Took this shot in my garden this evening, I have a suspicion that it may be a juvenile, but I could be wrong
My Song Thrush came back again today and I managed to get a better pic of him. The bush which is atracting him is my Mahonia bush the hrush and the Blackbirds absolutely love the blue berries on it
Great captures Babs. Well done.
Thankyou Chocky and Vlad I thought it was a youngster but my hubby reckons it's an adult
Pribably a female .
Deafinately a song thrush. Mistles have absolute round spots. Song thrush have more arrow sahped sopts. Cheveron like at the base od the spots
Thanks for that Chocky, I have heard that it is quite hard to distinguish between the two but you have explained it perfectly
Your welcome . Under each wing of the song thrush , amasingly, the sopte form an arrow head like a 'direction up' and I think the mistle is slightly slimmer and more upright.
