One must remember at this time of the year the little birds are all in breading plumage and so their colours will be a little more intense

Although this one doesn't look particularly colourful - maybe he's not not been using colour-saving shampoo

He has his slightly darker shades down each side of his under side where as they are usually all yellow.Actully makes him look a bit dirty. Little too much sunlight here I think
