Stood on the rear deck of the ferry trying to while away the hours and saw an impossibly bright rainbow, just had to take a snap, the the sailing boat off the Isle of Wight in the sunset..gif "Smile")

Love the rainbow - and the way the sky to the left is lighter than that to the right. I know there's a name for that, but it just escapes me!

It's seemingly called 'Alexander's dark band' - though I have read a different, more scientific name for it too.

I took some pics a few years ago which showed that, but haven't seen it for some time myself!
Quite impressed with the camera on the phone, certainly good enough for reference shots.
