Default Waxwings at Molly Millar's Road, Wokingham

Managed to get a peak at the Wokingham 13 today, they stayed mostly at the top of a tall tree, but dropped down periodically to feed on one of three ornamental trees, not sure what they are, but I'm sure Catherine will be able to enlighten me.

    Brilliant photos, Rolf!

I particularly like the second and sixth ones. Interesting to see them eating those pink berries too.

Is that tree a Sorbus Hupehensis? One of the Mountain ash family?

It certainly is a Rowan or Mountain Ash - not sure of the variety as there are more than one pink one. The one you mention is Pink Pagoda which DOES have white-going-into-pink berries, but there are others..... - Rowan Tree With Pink Berries

There are many Chinese Rowans with larger or more colourful leaves in autumn, so unless there are leaves there - or a label still on it, it is difficult to ID
