Was taking a picture of the Redshank on the island, didn't realise the Little plover was in the shot as well, they are very well camouflaged.

Yes certainly does, I'd seen that there was a Little Ringed Plover at the lake from the little sighting book, but had no idea it was in the photo until I opened it on the PC. Nice when you get an unintentional extra.
It's always a bonus when that happens!
My 'unexpected guests' in pics have always been Snipe! They are so well camouflaged by the reeds and marshland round them.
The first time it happened, there was just one - but he was looking straight at me! The last time, I'd taken a pic of 5 Teal from the hide at Milford, to discover that a lot of the marsh's reed clumps were actually Snipe - more than 10 of them!
Most other 'umexpected finds' are coloured rings on birds, but they're also interesting!
