Default The end of clampers on private land . . . . .

    . . . . . . if the proposed legislation goes through.

Something certainly needs to be done, with the bully boy clamping companies, but perhaps setting maximum release levels would've been an easier solution, say £50. As this now means that the inconsiderate people who take advantage of free parking on other people's property now have carte blanche.

That certainly is going to be a downside, but at least these bully boys won't be harassing ambulance and hearse drivers or other innocent people.
They had the chance to be sensible where the major punishment is not being able to drive off but no, they had to try and hold a gun to the head of the motorists like a highwayman, even pulling some very dubious stunts and threatening women. I do feel sorry for the people who may now have to put up with the selfish oafs blocking their land up but they should have been more carefull with the people they hired.

There's always an upside and a downside, but there does seem to have been some ridiculous results of the clampers' freedom.
