Starling - Sturnus vulgaris - parent & young
This is from early June.
The parent had escaped from the young ones and obviously thought that if she (?) went to that slim tree-top they couldn't follow, but as you can see, they persevered. I laughed so much as they swayed about!
When I look at this I can't help hearing the old Rolf Harris song "Two little boys" -
"...did you think I would leave you crying, when there's room on my (horse) for two..."
