Default Why I don't tidy my garden

The little girl next door once leaned over the fence and told me what a damned untidy garden I had (although in slightly different words! ) , but this is exactly why I don't keep a tidy garden ... that's my excuse and I am sticking to it (excuse the fuzz - it's through a very dirty window, although I don't have the same excuse for not cleaning them!!),
Mind you, a couple of days before I took a similar view and it was just a pile of snow on the teazels.

With pretty little Goldfinches like those I would definitely NOT tidy your garden. Nice pic.

Keeping the big Thistle heads is a magnet to birds like Goldfinches, and they are a real treat to watch.

    Great capture. Well done.
Tell her if she wants your garden to do her B self and then have her arrested for trespassing

I only got into gardening when I joined this site. Mainly because I keep the camera close at hand. Before that and being an ex Bus Driver of the old school, would, when asked to pick up a spade, declined 'cause I could never find the clutch

ROFL - but surely you've heard of the gearless spade that the americans developed? It has no gear lever, in fact no lever at all. I think that it's called a trowel

Thats a great idea but do they have a long handled trowel, cos if it means getting down on my knees....getting back up would be a major problem LOL
