    Cool Railway mural

Hows this for a mural then? Im so glad I went for a coffee and sausage sarnie in the cafe at the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway last week!

Having spotted this beautiful bit of work on the wall above the fireplace I couldnt resist taking a picture of it.

Yes - its been done very well. A difficult place to paint something like that because of the chimney breast

It's really beautiful, Ross, plus the colour really warms up the tearoom, and the views from the cab tell a lot about the countryside round about.

We've been on one Lake District railway - with full-size locos just like that one - but it was in 1977, so I don't recognise it from the photos on their website.

A idea for the future though!

Thats probably the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway just outside Ulverston Catherine. There are only 2 lines in the Lake District - L&H and the miniature Ravenglass.
