Default A trip down memory lane

Whilst looking through my older discs for some photos. I came across these photos of me when in the WRNS (wrens)
I was a staff car driver had had a great deal of waiting around to do hence the look of boredom. I really enjoyed my life in the WRNS and also I liked my job very much.
Here are just a couple of photos. They are of me honest

Lets here about your trip down memory lane

Well worth posting Beryl. You've not changed a bit judging by the up to date pics I've seen of you. Always nice to look back through the pics of 'yesterday'.

Better dig an old one of me sat on the bonnet of my Vanguard Pickup Rolf......prehistoric or what!

You had a great job, Beryl, and obviously had a great time in the mess, but was that blood on the beam?

I like your car - we used to keep them shiny in those days. The pics of my Triumph Herald are in a box somewhere - would need scanned in. Glen says it was just a scrap of junk, but 'Kelly' was the best car in the world to me!

Rolf, did your brother always drive with his foot out the door like that?

Wow, I must have missed this whole thread!!!!
Great pics, people, and well done for starting it, Beryl. I don't have a scanner at present, but I can add this which I did a while ago for a special project, with some versions of me in the 80s. Annoyingly, I don't have shots of me in my full stupid hair phase, although there is supposedly a shot somewhere in the family of me with rags tied in my hair - I was a cross between a punk and a Goth (technically known as a Post-Punk - yep, there are names for everything). Put it like this - there are a load of Japanese photo albums with me in them from when I lived in London

.. and yes, that IS a mullet

It was at a holiday camp. It was Cowboy night and i won the lasso comp. I surprised my self actually and spun it for nearly 2 minutes. None of the others could get the nag of it. You have to let the rope twist loosely in your hand an the loop gets bigger and bigger eventually the rope runs out and you have to t go.

Here is my getting ready to bed down. at RAF Northwood
