    Default Poppy fields at Streatley on Thames.

    These Poppies are very light pink in colour, almost white, rather than the more common red.

    Yes it is isn't it Ann, must pop over there and see what they have in the field this year, think it was Oilseed Rape last year.

    Beautiful photo, Rolf, but the dark patch on each flower says they are not wild, but opium poppies!

    Interesting, especially as I had my knee op under 2 months ago and know the painkillers given for the first two days had opium as an ingredient!

    (BTW, the newspaper article was from the year of the photo, so wonder if they're still growing them there? Much more inf. on Google!)
