    The thing in favour of the birds is that they can keep/fly away from disturbance/danger can't they Beryl.

    Yes But the RSPB don't like it, it ditsurbes the migrant birds. I talk to the RSPB chap some times and some of the RSPB volunteer counters They each have a different section of the estuary to count the birds. I often chat to themand they get cross when kids go down on to the mudflats and hurl rock about
    It's not just wind surfers but jet skiers too especially when the other side of the dock is the mouth of the EXE where they cane do all that

    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    The background is as the camera took the photo. It's not fake.
    Here is a whole frame . There were hundreds of them . The sky was suddenly frll of them as the wind surfers disturbed them

    Yes, I should have commented on the background, which as Babs has said is great, also its even better when you tell us it is as taken not 'fixed'. I like this Beryl.
