    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    Now then, I wouldn't mind one of these visiting my garden. I have only ever seen one at the reserve and that was there one minute and gone the next Good shot rolf, lucky you

    LOL, always subjective on what is sought after Babs, they are a common visitor in my garden, but then there are other which you have, I hardly ever see, like the wren for example.

    Good point rolf, mind you with all this rain we are having I haven't a clue when I'll be taking bird pics again. A couple of weeks ago I thought I'll stand on the lawn and point my camera toward the apple tree for a change , I set up my tripod and waited well, after a few mins the wren appeared, not enough time for a shot though then the goldcrest appeared again quick as a flash and it was gone. I can't remember it being this bad this time last year.

    Don't think it was Babs, all of my pictures are being taken at over ISO1000 at the moment, last year was fine.
