This little lady was pottering about all afternoon and on my way back down along the side of the canal she was still there, when suddenly a 4 man skiff came hell bent for leather up the canal well her piece was shattered and did she move. Flew away in the end. I was glad in a way because she had come off the reserve on the side of the canal and I was worried she would get bitten by a pike

    Very good Beryl.

I'll never forget one of the ducklings at Hungerford being taken by a Pike, one second it was there, the next it was gone.

    Thank you Rolf
Very sad. I have seen them on the wildlife rescue prog's
The canal prizes itself for the size of the pike and they have a lot of fishing a. No one is aloud to take them home , the have to be put back. There is little or no wildlife on the canal occasionally swans
