A beautiful day on the marsh and quite a few photographers taking advantage of the light, well worth the return visit.
What absolutely brilliant photos, Rolf!
That first one is amazing, and shows so well how it gets its name! FABULOUS! Bravo!
(I guess we're never going to hear the end of this one now!)
Yes, delighted myself Catherine, thanks.
As a Guess i would say they are from North Africa? Whatever, they make our Herons look Scruffy!
stunning in picture, stunning in real life... good pics rolf... got to say what a brilliant way to start the year seeing this....
I agree Billy, let's hope there's more interesting finds to come.
See if these work, hope you dont mind me adding some to your thread rolf... fingers crossed..
Not at all Billy, I like the shots with the wings spread in particular.
seen its gone missing...
Not at Freeman's Marsh any more?
not been sighted on the berkshire birds sight since sunday... might be still around but not seen... got board with all the paps!!
Probably scared off by dogs, wasn't really bothered by the people.
yeh, but im sure its gone off to have pedicure, full feather wax so it can look better in future shots.. there was one dog that was allowed to run the wrong side of the fence, thankfully didnt spook it too much...
Was that the red setter?
no a tiny little terier, was running up the fence line... the only one i noticed on the wrong side..
Lovely shots, Billy, particularly the third 'Minister for Silly Walks' one - it just made me smile!
