    Default Living with Barbed wire

I cannot believe that the boat yard along the can have a barbed wire fence like this. It is only about 5' high . Why Barbed wire? Any one could cut through it.
These little birds and others have to live with it all the time and it goes right through their bushes. I don't see the need
About 50 of these little house Sparrows live in the bush

Guess so. I had never really noticed it as a threat . It just seamed today when several little birds were perched on it brought it to my attention. It's lovely just there . There is a row a of high-ish hedges and full of House Sparrows and they sing their little hearts out and chatter almost all day long

Olympus Evolt E520, and borrowed lenses and flash. Fuji Finepix S7000 for Macro A chair :)

The hedges around my property have spikes like barbed wire and yet it doesn't seem to slow the sparrows down as they chase in and out of them.
