Please tell me what ths Bug is
Sorry about only having the pic of the underside,the top was a darkish brown with a very light flash at the rear end. Its amazing how mucky your super clean double glazing looks at this magnification.It was about 10cm long ( 3/8 inch in real money)Forgot to mention it was shot through glass
It's could be a green shield bug that ha turned brown (they do as that) or Forest Forest Bug : Pentatoma rufipesBug.
But this has green legs so it is probably the first .
On the other hand it could be a Parent Bug Elasmucha grisea
These are brown as you describe with green legs.
We really need to see the top for the patterning . They all have slightly different patterns
