Some examples of my digiscoping

I have uploaded a small selection of my bird photos. The first four (Chaffinch, House Sparrow, Wheatear and Meadow Pipit ) were shot using a Canon Powershot A40 which is a 2mpx camera now no longer made. The camera was fixed to the back of my telescope using a sawn off section of a paint roller which, after a long search, was the perfect diameter for the scope. I had to wrap the camera end of the roller tube in insulation tape to get a snug fit for the camera.

The last shot of the Corn Bunting was taken using a new camera (Samsung L80 which is an 8mpx camera. I have had to make a new adapter although the design remained the same. I am probably having less success with this camera at the moment especially when taking any distant shots. I will tinker with it as I believe anything is possible.

Nice shots wild goose, I have yet to see a wheatear and Meadow Pipit, but hoping for better luck if I can get over to France in the next couple of weeks.

How far away was the Corn Bunting when you took the picture?

PS, would be nice if you could do a little explanation of your setup with some photos of the equipment in our digiscoping section, as I'm sure that many people will not really know what it involves.

The Corn Bunting was about 30 feet away and it was taken at Elmley Marshes RSPB reserve in Kent. Fortunately they sit still for ages singing away
