The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    Default It visited again

    Well I couldn't believe it.

Last year on the 28th July a summer visitor a Chiffchaff arrived in my garden and stayed for about a week before moving on.

Well 29th July this year I'm in my hide and what do I see......the Chiffchaff I couldn't believe how close the dates were in my sightings. It may well have been here on the 28th but I was away that day.

I did managed to photograph it but the pics came out too bright. Didn't do much photographing in the garden last week but I did notice it again on Saturday but only for a few seconds. It visits with the house sparrows.

Try going to Adjustments in CS2 and then down to Shadows/ highlights. When the slider goes to 50% on th shadows slide it back to zero and and move the high lights slider across this may take away the brightness and put back the detail

I first heard it by the repetitive weep weep weep call, then saw it flitting around the tree to the annoyance of the Bluetits, they are a devil to photo.
