Landed on the railing and posed
Beryl I don't know any details of the movements of the Grey Wagtail but a ringing excercise of this species has taken place this summer in our area. Wouldn't it be great if one turned up in yours if you took particular note of the legs on any future sightings.
Pete.
I will keep ans eye out .We have quite a lot here on the brook
It is in the Amber status

Thanks for this Beryl. As I say, how exciting if you see a Grey Wagtail which turned out to be one ringed in our area this summer.
Pete.
Yep I'll take particular care to watch out for them and see if any are ringed.
I don't know if they move about but they don't weather well in harsh winters
There is a little video in the forum of a mother feeding her chick along side the Exmouth brook
Nice shots, but how did you persuade it to keep still Beryl. I once had one land on my bird bath but I was indoors looking down the garden guess there wasn't enough water for it to hang around
Than you Babs.
I smiled sweetly and he stayed with out a wag
