Looks like an interesting place Vastra, have you got a map or google earth coordinates for the entrance/car park?

Nice photos as well. Should be receiving my scope today, would be a nice place to try it out.

Flood Relief Channel has many Car Parking Places, however i like to go to Moores Lane off of Eton Wick Rd,Drive to the end of Moores Lane, Park next to the Green and take the Footpath, 220 yards, to the Channel. Turn Left when u get to the Channel.

There is also an Official Car Park at Dorney / 79-93 on my O.S.Explorer. U may need to buy a new Map as the Jubbilee River (Flood relief Channel) is a New feature.

Definitely on the cards for a visit in the next week or so. Particularly like number 4 photo, with only the wing tips showing of the gull.

PS. Nice to meet you today and put a face to the name.

It looks a great site for birds, Vastra.

Is that a Tern diving in the 4th pic of that last set?

Oh yes, number 4 is a fantastic shot! Although I quite like the last shot as well.
It looks like a nice place... and certainly has a few birds there.

I realised that the other birds were BHGs, Vastra, but the one which had dived in on that pic made me think 'Tern?'.

I wasn't aware that BHGs actually dived completely into the water like that!
