My Sky box just switched it's self off and a minute later came back on , searched for the progs and now it's back to m=normal. Now power cut , PC not effected What do you think may have caused that ?
Could be anything Chocky, keep an eye on it and if it continues to do it, call them, as you do now of course have a full guarantee on it and the dish/LNB.
Being a computer itself, it will suffer the occasional glitch, but as I say, keep monitoring it.
OK thanks.
It wouldn't switch on either so I was wondering if it might have been an update. Mind you not good if one is recording.
I will certainly ring them if it happens again. Thank you
Haven't had any more glitches. It does put it's self in stsnd by over night if I forget.
Yes, that's a new feature of the box.
Oh phew. Thank godness. I wonder if that was what happend the first time. I may well have pressed all the wrong buttons(tipical)
Every thing is fine and no break in the signal so I'm really happy.
Thanks Rolf.
I'm so glad you are a Sky expert. I would probably still be watching a bad transmission.
Have just plucked up courage to DVD a program. After all the trouble I'd had I was a bit nervous.
However it copied with out a hitch (adverts too) have finalized it and it works. Lol.
Thank again to you Rolf.
Glad you are enjoying it Chocky, I must say that I wouldnn't want to be wthout mine.
PS. Good series starting tomorrow on BBC1 at 9 PM, called Mountain, starts at the Scottish Highlands and ends up in Wales, worth recording with a series link.
Ok What bis it about?
I can always record it to the box then to a DVD if I like it and want to watch it again.
Just about the mountains and the people and wildlife who live on and near them.
I went to the index and looked at the info then set it to Recording with link and K too.
Look interesting. (I like the coast series too)
Thank you
