Default Spider nests - Orb spider

This is why I have so many spiders in my small garden
This was just one of a number of nests I had in my garden. I think that they are so cute.. until you realise that they probably ate their mum! I love getting the ball of little spiders to disperse (ok, not I'm not a complete angel )

Excellent shots. What I did a while ago was tweak one like yours it with a small twig and they shot in all directions. It was quite hair raising. Luckily I wasn't standing close enough to receive.

Although I like spiders, 'Arachnaphobia' is something different - it's like the film 'The Birds'... scary when creature start doing things they don't normally do (e.g. like me and housework )!!!

The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.
