Hi everyone
It’s been a while since I posted anything – guess I have been too busy at work without realising it! Anyway, I treated myself to a pilgrimage to Norfolk, Titchwell and Holkham to be precise.
It was a beautiful crisp day! (car temp read -1c) but it soon warmed up. Plenty to see as well. there were about 1000 pink-footed geese at Holkham and guillemots, divers, snow buntings and Eider offshore at Tichwell.
Managed 80 species in the day so well worth the 2.5 hour journey.
I really love the autumn and winter for birdwatching as wildfowl can be seen in such great numbers – especially skeins of geese crossing the sky, wave after wave and the noise and sheer wonder is really something to behold.
