    Olympus E-30, Sigma 50-500mm Lens, Sigma 150mm Macro lens, Zuiko 70-300mm lens, Sigma 50mm F1,4 lens, Extension tube, 1.4x tele-converter, Carbon FibreTripod, Monopod, Vanguard Binoculars, Celestron 80F-ED Scope, Remembird recorder.

    Just some general shots from my last morning on holiday, was pleased to see the Stonechats, even be it from a distance.

    Do the birds eat the rape seed? What has the BOP got in its talons?

    (Love the fading around 3 and 4!)

    Thanks Catherine, not sure what the Hen Harrier is carrying, tried to make it out from a blow up, but still not clear.

    The blurring effect is due to using a relatively large aperture giving shallow depth of field, so only a very small distance is in focus, it's called Bokeh and is better with some lenses than others, the Bigma produces quite an interesting Bokeh.

    Shame that picture one was not better quality, as I love it, but can't make it any larger.
