This is a fairly large butterfly wing span 4.5 - 5 cm and very pretty.
I'm going to have to brush up on my butterflies, can't remember seeing one of those. Great photo.

They are bright Orangy and you can't miss them they are about as big as the Red Admiral

Some of these butterflies and moths are indigenous to certain areas of the country.
I don't think you will be likely for instance to see a Jersey Tiger moth up where you are. The habit the Southwest and the channnel isles and southern europe
