exellent shots rolf, i know what you mean about not staying still. these are far better than my images on an earlier post. (seen in essex) my son tom has seen one up here in preston.
i saw one for the first time in 1994 in majorca. they really do look like humming birds don't they.

Thanks All, just got back from France and unfortunately for most of the 12 days there was no internet access, so have a lot of catching up to do.

Managed to get another couple of shots, but probably not any more detailed than the ones I have, will look through in the morning on a proper sized monitor.
