Only just noted this pic of the Holly Blue Beryl which very clearly seperates it from the Common Blue by the underwing much easier than the one you posted at a later date.

ive seen quite a few common blues.... or have i??
i didnt know about the underwing difference... so maybe i might hve seen the holly blue at some point. thanks for the info beryl

Your welcome Andrew. The common blue has a very different under wing/ Hind wing not really blue looking even There are quite a few Blues and they all have different hind wings
