Was visiting a small apartment block in Tilehurst and saw this poor fellow trying to climb a curbstone, unfortunately, I think ke's been trodden on by the look of his damaged antler.

Not sure whether they can grow a new one, great shame though as they are a real target for being trodden on as they don't move out of the way, they stand on their hind legs to defend themselves.
Yes. That makes them so vunerble. Not against giants unfortunately
Poor thing... let's hope that he has already mated and passed on his genes.
They don't last long enough as adults to be able to repair/grow another one - he's only got another month or so (i.e not usually past August).
