In fact I saw the female yesterday, this is the first male, but they are easy to capture on camera, as they sit on the feeder for a while, like the Greenfinches. Taken through the kitchen window so not the clearest.
Great capture.
I think it's a good photo for being taken through the window
Well done rolf attracting them to your garden, I am still getting visits from them too, but have noticed the goldfinches have dropped off visiting me
I've only had sporadic visits from Goldfinches this year Babs, and not seen the Siskins in the same numbers as I used to.
Unfortunately I had to change over to Squirrel proof feeders a couple of years ago and have never seen a Bullfinch since either.
Nice shot that Rolf, the bonus being your windows are clean unlike mine
I keep telling SWMBO what is the point in me cleaning them when they will just get wet again in an hour or two when it rains
Using the SLR it can make a dirty window look clean.
Shame I was in a rush to get out this morning, as there was a male sat at the top of the tree in the garden in bright sunlight and I didn't have time to snap him.
Got a couple more shots this morning, still through the window though, he was joined by a couple of Goldfinches as well.
The gang is getting bigger now.
Three males and a female, a bit dull, so all high ISO shots and a bit grainy. :
