    The Goldcrest
    This is Britain's smallest bird and is never still.
    I managed to capture one out of five shots that wasn't blurred and here he is

    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    Well done Beryl, beautiful little bird, they favour conifer trees, you were lucky to capture him on a bare branch. Well done. It's also Ireland' smallest bird as well

    Nice catch Chocky, I have only once managed to get a picture and that from a distance, as you say, they never stay still.

    Thank you . They are like little ping-pong balls.
    Just oposite a conifer in this little wood is a brook and they fly back and forth accross as do the Robins and Wrens.
    It's a lovely little place and there is a King fisher too. I will upload him later
