    I love it!!!!!!!!!!!! This really shows the feathers off to good advantage.

    That's what I love about this place - it's easy to find ordinary pictures of many birds, but only here do you find such wonderful poses! Nice one, Spooks.

    Very well put Ladylouise, it prompted me to ponder, Carlsberg don't do unusual bird photographs but if they did it would probably be on the Thames Valley Bird Forum

    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    Thank you very much everyone for the great comments on this image! Hopefully, weather permitting, I might dabble in a little more bird photography this weekend
