Treecreeper- Certhia familiaris

Captured in the local park this morning mar. 22. 2008
first three on one tree and the second two on a tree near by.
They don't keep still for long an soon make their way up to the top of the tree, then then fly down to the base and make their way up again.

A nice series of images of the Treecreeper Chocky (do you prefer that to Beryl?) and you comment accurately on the characteristics of making its way up the tree before flying to the base of its next chosen one.

By the way, hope this one isn't out of order......how do you arrive at Chocky for your username?

Took a lot of waiting and watching . I love the way the littl birds run round and some time down the tree. I studied them a lot last year, spent hours and finally got a mother feeding her youngster (some where in the forum) But today it was really cold and I thought a littl early for Treecreepers but there they are. You have to watch the trunk of the tree for something to move , as you can see how well they blend in

I prefer to be called Beryl. I came by the name of Chocky some 35 years ago from a Sci-fi book that I read by John Windom .Named my Siamese chocolate point Chocky. She died 7 years ago aged nearly 13 yrs and I still shed tears over her
